How we handle your information.

Cuisines Topspray collects personal information to prepare the estimate you asked for and to follow up on it, and to see how people find us and which of our ads bring requests. This policy says what we collect, why, where it goes and how long we keep it, as Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) requires.

What we collect

When you send an estimate request, the form collects:

  • Your full name, email address and phone number, and the address of the kitchen.
  • If you choose to give them: a message about the kitchen, and up to ten photos of it. Photos are resized in your browser before they are sent.
  • The services you ticked, and the time the form was opened (used only to tell people from bots).
  • If you came from one of our ads on Google, ChatGPT, Facebook or Instagram: the ad campaign and the keyword, ad group or ad named in the link you clicked. For an ad on Google or ChatGPT, it also collects the click code Google or OpenAI adds to that link, which we pass back to them (see “Where it goes”). We send nothing to Meta, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram.

Visit statistics and recordings

The site sets no cookies and keeps nothing in your browser, except your choices if you turn off recordings, “Link my request to my visit” or ad results. Two services measure how the site is used:

  • Our hosting provider's web analytics records the page viewed, the site you came from, your approximate location (country, region and city) and your type of device, browser and operating system. Visitors are told apart only by a temporary code that is deleted after 24 hours.
  • Our analytics service records the parts of the page you reach, the buttons and links you click, how fast pages load, technical errors, and how far you get in the estimate form (the step you reach, the services you tick and how many photos you add; of what you type, these statistics keep only your name and email address, as described below).
  • The same service records your visit: your clicks, your scrolling and the pages as they appeared to you, including what you type in the estimate form. The photos you add are hidden in these recordings.
  • If you send an estimate request, the same service attaches your name and email address to the statistics and the recording of that visit, so we can see how you found us and what you looked at. Your phone number, address and message appear only in the recording, never in the statistics, and your photos are never sent to it.
  • If you came from one of our ads on Google or ChatGPT and send a request, the same service tells Google Ads or OpenAI that the ad led to a request. It passes on only the click code Google or OpenAI added to the link and the time of the request, never your name, your contact details or what you wrote.

If you came from one of our ads, both services also note the campaign and the keyword, ad group or ad named in the link. We use these statistics to improve the site; they identify you only if you send a request (see below). The analytics service does not record your location or keep your IP address, and nothing links one visit to the next unless you send a request during each one with the same email address. Recordings are deleted after 30 days, and statistics are kept for at most one year. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and operations.

Recordings, “Link my request to my visit” and ad results are on by default. You can turn any of them off at any time with “Privacy choices” at the bottom of every page, and it stays off in that browser. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, all three are off automatically.

Why we collect it

To reply to your request, prepare and send your estimate, plan a visit if one is needed, and answer your questions about it. We do not use your information for marketing without asking you separately, and we never sell or rent it. Linking your request to your visit shows us how you found us and what you looked at before asking. If you came from one of our ads, the campaign and the keyword, ad group or ad show us which ads bring requests; they stay in our inbox. The click code on a Google or ChatGPT ad lets Google Ads or OpenAI count those requests, which shows us which ads work and helps them decide where to show our ads.

Where it goes

Your request is delivered to our shop inbox by email through an email delivery service. The site is hosted on a cloud platform, and its statistics and recordings (with your name and email address, if you send a request) are processed by an analytics service. These providers process the data on our instructions, under contracts that protect it, and their servers may be located outside Québec, including in the United States.

When you fill in the address field, the text you type in it is sent to Google Maps Platform to suggest addresses and to confirm the one you enter, along with your IP address, under Google's privacy policy. Nothing is sent until you use that field, and if Google can't find your address you can keep it as typed.

If you call us from one of our Google ads, the call goes through a Google forwarding number: Google receives your number to connect the call, under Google's privacy policy, and reports to us the time and length of the call and, for calls over 15 seconds, your number.

If you came from one of our Google ads and send a request, our analytics service sends Google Ads the click code from the link and the time of the request, unless you turned this off. Google matches the code to your click on the ad, which may be linked to your Google account if you were signed in, and uses it under its privacy policy to count the request as a result of the ad. Your name, contact details, message and photos are never sent to Google.

If you came from one of our ChatGPT ads and send a request, our analytics service sends OpenAI the click code from the link and the time of the request, unless you turned this off. OpenAI matches the code to your click on the ad, which may be linked to your ChatGPT account if you were signed in, and uses it under its privacy policy to count the request as a result of the ad and to measure and improve its ads. Your name, contact details, message and photos are never sent to OpenAI.

Apart from these, we share your information with no one else, unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your request and photos while your estimate is open, and for at most 90 days after our last exchange, then delete them. The name and email address linked to your visit in our analytics service are kept until you ask us to delete them; the visit's statistics are kept for at most one year and its recording for 30 days. If you hire us, the details needed for the job and its invoice are kept in your job file for as long as tax and contract law require.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to withdraw your consent and have it deleted. Write or call us using the details below; we answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

You can also turn off recordings, “Link my request to my visit” and ad results at any time with “Privacy choices” at the bottom of every page.

Security and incidents

Your information travels over encrypted connections and is accessible only to the people who prepare estimates. Should a confidentiality incident present a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned, as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, this page changes with them, and the date at the top is updated.
